In the image, the man prays in the dim light of a single, flickering candle—a symbol of his humble, earthly reliance on what he can see and control. The radiant beams of light above him, however, represent the manifestation of God’s glory. This light is visible to us as viewers, yet it remains hidden from the man in his "natural" realm. It is a visual narrative of our lives: often feeling alone in the quiet dark, while completely encompassed by the overwhelming, unseen glory of God.
